A glamorous global book club for readers who take stories seriously — and have a lovely time doing it.

Founder
Kira is a lifelong reader who spent a decade running her stack of margin-noted novels through one mediocre book club after another. She started The Marginalia Club in her living room with twelve readers, three bottles of wine, and a copy of Pachinko.
Today, the club spans more than forty countries and ten thousand readers — and Kira still personally writes every weekly reading note.
kirakenn.s@gmail.comThe Marginalia Club is a glamorous, global book club built for readers who treat books like company — to be returned to, argued with, and dressed up for.
We come together every week, across more than forty countries, to read one carefully chosen book together. We move through it week by week, with reading notes from Kira on Mondays, Friday spotlight nights with the author whenever we can swing it, and Sunday discussions that often run a full hour past their scheduled end.
We are not in the business of getting through books. We are in the business of letting books get through to us.
If you've ever wanted a literary salon with the warmth of a kitchen-table conversation and the rigor of a graduate seminar — quietly, devotedly, gloriously — this is the room for you.
To be the most loved book club on the internet — and the warmest.
Curation, community, generosity, and the slow love of a well-written sentence.
A global table for readers of every background who believe a good book is a kind of home.
